Rules for the Queen's Hall |
|
The hall should be clear of all
items.
Nothing can be kept or brought into the building without the permission
of the Queens Hall Management Committee.
The Committee changes door lock Key codes on a regular basis.
New Key codes are preferably advised by email, alternatively they
advised by post. Key codes must never be passed on to a third party
without the approval of the Committee. A secondary manual lock secures the
whole building at night, this is retained by the parish priest.
Fire exits must be kept clear at all times.
No Smoking in any part of the building (endorsed by Parish vote 3/9/4).
Look after the hall floor - no stiletto heels, never drag heavy objects
over the floor always use the lifting wheels kept in the kitchen.
No football or ball games.
The stage area is dark and dangerous - never allow your children to
play in this area.
Please note that due to the continuing deterioration of the hall floor we can no
longer allow bouncy castles or similar to be erected within the hall. If you have
any queries as to what is acceptable please email us with the details of what
you are proposing.
No Chewing gum.
No dogs apart from guide dogs.
Notices cannot be stuck on the walls. Notices must be posted on the
General Notice Board in the Foyer and only with permission from the committee.
The Queens Hall Management Committee is not responsible for any
accidents or injuries that occur in the building. |

Frequently Asked Questions |
Can we have a bar extension?
No - Sorry we cannot offer an extension on the bar, every body asks for this
but we are limited by our license and we get complains from neighbours if
people are leaving in the early hours of the morning. The bar STOPS serving at
11:00pm - no exceptions. Music from a band or disco must also stop at 11:00pm as
defined by our entertainment license.
Who opens the hall for us?
The access code will be emailed to you prior to your event. If you have
not received the code two days before the event please email us to remind us.
Can a caterer be provided?
We can supply contact details for caterers who we know. We do not however
endorse any particular caterer and any arrangement with caterers would be between
yourselves and the caterers
Can I hire cleaners to tidy up after the event?
Unfortunately we do not have cleaners available for hire. It is the hirers
responsibility to leave the hall and rooms in the same state in which they
were found. Failure to do this will result in the loss of the bond.
Can I have a look around the hall before the event?
Yes, but PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB ANYONE ACTUALLY USING THE HALL. It is unfair on them
and they are unlikely to be able to answer your questions accurately nor can they give
information on behalf of the committee. If wish to view the hall prior to the event a
good time is on the second or fourth Sunday evening of the month between 7.15pm and 7.30pm.
Please email beforehand to ensure someone is there to answer your queries. |
